Welcome, My name is Tea and I'm an amateur critic! My goal is to seriously evaluate films and other media that can often be brushed of as nothing more than gory/exploitive/offensive/etc. I want to give a fair chance to see if this media genuinely has something to say, or if it has failed the topics it attempts to address. This site is a collection of my reviews, plot summaries and content warnings can be found in my the linked doc at the bottom.

Media is rated in the following categories:

Themes/messages: What themes and messages is the media trying to portray? Does it have something it wants to say?

Art/cinematography/etc:​ How much work and detail was put into the visual effects? Does the medium include any specific details to highlight the story?

Intentionality: Does the media have something specific its trying to say? Is there an emotion or experience meant to be represented?

Exploitation level: Was there disturbing material for the sake of being disturbing rather than adding something to the media? 

Execution: Did the media feel intentional? Are the material found in the media thought out and impactful?

♡- may be disturbing to young or sensitive audiences

‪‪❤︎‬- May be upsetting or disturbing

‪‪❤︎‬‪‪❤︎‬- Upsetting and disturbing, may contain offensive content

‪‪❤︎‬‪‪❤︎‬‪‪❤︎‬- Contains offensive and upsetting content, viewer discretion is advised
